Vera May Field

Vera May Field was the second child born to Eileen and Fred Hartnell. On the very day she was born it snowed (which was unusual for mid June) She had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Gerald being the eldest and Glynn being the youngest, and her sisters were Jean and Delores (sadly delores passed away at the age of 21 she died of TB). Vera was a much loved member of the family. She grew up and married Stanley Field on 3rd Feb 1951, and then went on to have 3 children Letitia, Norman, and John. They lived a happy life together as families did back in the good old days. She was blessed with beautiful grandchildren 13 in total. She has 14 Great Grandchildren but unfortunately didnt get chance to meet all of them. Vera was widowed as Stan passed away on 30 October 1979 from that day till the day she died she never got over it, but the love of her children kept her going. In 1998 she lost her middle son Norman in a tragic road accident, and the lost her mother and then lost her grandson and that for Vera was too much to handle and in the last few years of her life she became very ill and couldnt fight no longer and passed away on 2nd November 2001.
